Inspiring the future

Teachers are an incredibly influential, impactful, and important part of every learner’s journey in Aotearoa. So, after a run of successful campaigns together, when the Ministry of Education asked us to support their latest teacher attraction campaign, we jumped at the chance.

First, we unpacked the challenge at hand — working at our best in rangapū | partnership with kaimahi on the ground and behind the scenes at the Ministry.

We have a world-class education system. Breathtakingly unique classrooms. Professional development. And the chance to guide and shape rangatahi throughout their learning journey. It’s all here. And it could be yours, in Aotearoa.

Putting the education system in the hero seat gave us something distinctive to build on. We developed a campaign that captured the teachers’ world, and shared their perspectives held together through a shared understanding of the sector.

Our job was to tie all of those threads together. Succinctly. We had to showcase a compelling narrative of what it means to be a teacher in Aotearoa. In turn, all of this thinking compounded into one simple structure:

We built a suite strong enough to pivot depending on who saw it. It will reach audiences here and overseas, people at the start of working life and people looking to change careers into teaching. No matter who it was, each piece kept our position strong. New Zealand classrooms stayed front and centre, showing the variety of opportunities you’ll help shape by becoming a teacher.
