Meet Media & Digital Specialist, Priyanka Bhanot

So, Priyanka, tell us a bit about yourself!

I was born in Bhopal, India — a city known for its beautiful lakes, delicious food and warm-hearted people. Growing up, I was always curious and loved trying new things such as exploring new flavours in the kitchen or having long conversations with people.

One thing you should know about me, I absolutely love chips! They have been my favourite snack for as long as I can remember. No matter how many healthy options are around, there is something about a good packet of chips that always wins.

On top of that, the first thing I do when I walk into the office is make myself a strong black coffee. Most people probably reach for a glass of water first... I go straight for the coffee! That's my way of kick-starting the day. Honestly, I don't think my brain fully wakes up until I’ve had that first sip.

Food and drink has always been a big part of my life. I enjoy cooking, experimenting with different cuisines and trying recipes from around the world. Right now, I am loving Mexican dishes and seeing how close I can get to recreating those flavours in my own home.

These days, life at home is a little busier thanks to my handsome little boy, Arjan. Every day brings something new. Watching him grow and seeing his little personality shine has been so special.

How did you find your way into digital marketing?

I have always enjoyed the combination of creativity and problem-solving. I love working in paid media, alongside my expertise in SEO — there’s always something new to learn and improve.

When you’re not working, where will we find you?

Outside of work, you'll probably find me curled up on my comfy couch with another coffee in hand. Enjoying some quiet time after a busy day.

Weekends are my favourite because I get to switch off and spend time with my little family. Usually, watching movies or binge-watching a good series together.

I also love travelling and exploring new places. So far, Napier has been my favourite place in New Zealand. I love the warmth, sunshine and relaxed atmosphere there. I am definitely a warm-weather person. Cold weather and I are still trying to become friends!

If one of your colleagues had to describe you quickly, what would they say?

Someone who enjoys having a good laugh.

I like keeping things positive and making the people around me feel comfortable.

So, what makes being part of the Hemisphere crew so special?

What I love most about Hemisphere is the people. Everyone brings their own personality, ideas and expertise, and there is a real sense of teamwork across the agency.

I enjoy how different teams come together, share ideas and support each other to create great work. Everyone is approachable, willing to help and genuinely cares about doing their best.

For me, Hemisphere feels like a place where you can grow, learn and still be yourself. And that is what makes being part of this team so special.

What’s one project you’ve enjoyed working on at Hemisphere?

One of my favourite projects at Hemisphere has been the download the Fishing Rules app campaign.

The campaign had a clear goal. Seeing it achieve its objectives successfully was a great feeling. And it was a real team effort, from planning and strategy through to optimisation and reporting.

What made it even more rewarding was seeing the positive response from the client. Knowing that the work we did helped deliver strong results was a great achievement for everyone involved.
