Join our creative studio where ideas come to life across every medium imaginable. You'll create high-quality artwork that connects with communities through compelling visuals— from static designs that stop people in their tracks to moving content that tells powerful stories.
Working alongside our Head of Creative and the wider team, you'll contribute to campaigns that genuinely matter. Whether it's helping a government agency connect with young people or supporting a health organisation reach diverse communities, your designs will create real change.
What your days will look like
- Bringing concepts to life Turn creative briefs into stunning visual solutions across digital, print, video, and motion. You'll work on everything from social media graphics to large-scale campaigns, always with an eye for what resonates with Aotearoa's diverse communities.
- Creating motion that moves people Develop animations and motion graphics using After Effects that bring campaigns to life. Whether it's explaining complex health information through engaging animations or creating social content that stops the scroll, your motion work will have purpose.
- Producing video content Edit footage using Premiere Pro to create compelling video content across platforms. From quick social videos to longer-form campaign content, you'll shape stories that connect with audiences.
- Designing with cultural authenticity Work with our cultural leaders to create designs that authentically reflect te ao Māori and connect respectfully with diverse communities. You'll learn Māori design principles and apply them thoughtfully across your work.
- Collaborating across disciplines Partner with our media, strategy, and account teams to ensure every piece of design serves a strategic purpose and delivers on campaign objectives.
What you'll bring
For Designer level (2-4 years experience):
- Strong design portfolio showcasing digital, print, and motion work
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly After Effects and Premiere Pro
- Knowledge of layouts, typography, and design fundamentals
- Animation and motion graphics skills
- Video editing capabilities across different formats and platforms
For Senior Designer level (4-7 years experience):
- All of the above, plusstrategic design thinking and leadership experienc
- Proven ability to concept and execute complex, multi-channel campaigns
- Experience mentoring junior designers and contributing to creative direction
- Advanced motion graphics and video production skills
- Track record of award-worthy creative work
What would make you perfect:
- Experience in, or commitment to learn, Māori design principles and tikanga
- Understanding of behaviour change and health communication design
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
- Experience working with diverse communities or social sector clients
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
